VOZ
Voz, “voice” in Spanish, is a contemporary fair trade fashion company that uses design innovation to aid indigenous artisans out of poverty by connecting them to the fashion industry. Starting in Southern Chile with a community of Mapuche women, product designers and indigenous weavers will collaborate to produce environmentally pristine fashions that both represent Mapuche ethnic culture and appeal to high-end boutiques. We use contemporary design to connect fair trade practices to wider international audiences: enabling us to offer greater social benefits to those living in rural poverty and empower indigenous women professionally, financially and creatively.
